The following products have been recalled due to concerns for consumer safety. For a full list of recent U.S. recalls, visit the federal recalls website.
Pure Baby Organics Boys Hoodie
Chantique’s Corp. has recalled approximately 60 of its Organics Boys hooded sweatshirts due to strangulation hazard. The sweatshirts have a drawstring around the neck that can pose a strangulation hazard to children if it gets entangled on a playground slide, handrail, school bus door, or other moving object.
The sweatshirts were sold between January and August 2014 for about $62 in children’s boutiques across the country, including Elephant Ears, Pumpkin heads, Sprouts, and online at Nordstromrack.com. The 100-percent cotton hoodie comes in solid gray with a red drawstring inside the lining of the hood. They were sold in toddler boy’s sizes 2t to boy’s size 3. Style number PB1613.B12 is printed on a label sewn into an inside seam, underneath the washing instruction label.
Consumers who have purchased the affected sweatshirt should immediately take it away from children. Removing the drawstring will eliminate the strangulation hazard, or consumers can return the sweatshirt to the place of purchase for a full refund. Trimfoot Co. LLC has recalled approximately 5,300 soft-soled sneakers due to choking risk. There is a small metal eyelet that can come detached from the shoe, posing a choking hazard to infants.
The recalled shoes are First Impressions high-top, soft-soled sneakers for infants who are crawling or standing. The shoes, sold in sizes 0-3, have blue denim soles, blue denim uppers, brown canvas tongues, tan shoe laces, and white polyurethane toes. Style number 42090 can be found on a cloth tag inside the shoe.
The shoes were sold in Macy’s stores nationwide between February and August 2014 for approximately $17. Customers who purchased the recalled shoes should immediately take them away from children and contact Trimfoot or return them to Macy’s for full refund.

Foster Farms Chicken Breast Grilled Strips
Foster Farms has recalled nearly 40,000 pounds of frozen, pre-cooked chicken due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The contamination was discovered during Foster Farms’ routine in-plant inspection; some of the contaminated product was set aside and held, but certain packages were inadvertently shipped.
The 3.25-lb. plastic resealable bags of chicken strips were produced in August 2014 and shipped to retail warehouses in Utah, Washington, Texas, and California. Affected products will have the establishment number P-33901 and a best by date of 08-05-15.
Foster Farms and the Food Safety and Inspection Service are concerned that some of the recalled product may be frozen and in consumers’ freezers. FSIS urges all consumers to reheat ready-to-eat products until steaming hot to reduce the risk of harmful bacteria.
