Senior Partner Michael Maggiano Receives Award
Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi, P.C. is honored to have recently been presented with a plaque from Fort Lee PBA Local 245, recognizing and thanking us for our sponsorship and support of its 2017 5k “Running for Our Youth” Race. Detective Sgt. Edward Young of Fort Lee Police PBA Local 245 presented the award to Senior Partner Michael Maggiano, Esq., who has been an Honorary Silver Shield Member since 1992.
The 5k Race, held in June 2017, was organized to foster relationships between local police and community youth while raising money for the William T. Birch Children’s Fund. In total, the Race raised $38,000.
Commenting on the event, Thomas Porto, President of PBA Local 245, explained that “the event was an enormous success… We had 534 people registered, most of which were young people from the community.”
The success of last year’s Race has sparked a new tradition, as Fort Lee PBA 245 will be hosting its 2nd annual “Running for Our Youth” Race on June 10, 2018. More information about this year’s event, including online donation and signup information, is available on their website.
